Clay Wood
Chairman of WNB
 Mr. Clay Wood is a major shareholder of WNB and serves as its Chairman of the Board. Mr. Wood began his career in the retail gasoline business in 1946 and founded Wood Oil Distributing Company (now Southwest Energy, Inc.) in 1953. In addition to several non-energy-related businesses, Mr. Wood acquired controlling interest in WNB in 1985 and, along with his son, Jack Wood, has overseen the growth of the bank from approximately $40 million of assets to over $600 million today. Mr. Wood attended Texas Tech University from 1941 to 1943 and served in the Air Force from 1943 to 1946. With his long and distinguished career as a banker and a businessman, Mr. Wood brings considerable business acumen and an entrepreneurial bent to the company.
