Mr. Don Wood is the president of Permian Basin Investments, LP (“BPI”) located in Odessa, Texas, and serves as a director of Western National Bank. PBI was created from the proceeds of the sale of Southwest Convenience Stores, LLC, (“SCS”). PBI is an investment company that invests in notes, equities (public and private) and cash. Mr. Wood was the president and a manager on the Board of SCS. SCS was formed in 1993 with the purchase of 150 7-Eleven stores from The Southland Corporation. The operation expanded to 172 stores located in Odessa, Midland, Big Spring, Lubbock, El Paso and Wichita Falls, Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico. When SCS was sold to Alon USA in 2001, revenues were in excess of $200 million dollars and the company employed 1,300 people. Prior to 1993, Mr. Wood managed Southwest Energy, Inc., a family-controlled, regional marketer of fuel and lubricants. Mr. Wood graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Management degree in 1982. With his background in managing family-controlled businesses, Mr. Wood brings significant management and entrepreneurial experience, along with an eye for detail, to the company.
