Jack Wood

President and CEO of Western National Bank


Mr. Jack Wood is a major shareholder and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Western National Bank, where he directs both credit and operations of the bank.  Mr. Wood and his father, Clay Wood, acquired controlling interest in WNB in 1985.  Together, they have overseen the growth of the bank from approximately $40 million in assets to over $1 billion today and the bank has become one of the top performing banks in the country within its peer group.  Mr. Wood also serves as vice president of Southwest Energy, Inc., a family-controlled, regional marketer of fuel and lubricants, where he began his career in 1977.  Mr. Wood served as a partner in Southwest Convenience Stores, LLC, which owned 172 7-Eleven stores throughout the Permian Basin, until it was sold in 2001 to Alon USA.  Mr. Wood graduated from Texas Tech University in 1977 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. With his history of managing the day-to-day affairs of WNB and his involvement in other family-controlled businesses, Mr. Wood brings leadership and entrepreneurial skills, as well as contacts through many bank relationships to the company.
