Scott A. Lovett

Managing Director of Western National Bank


In his current capacity with Western National Bank, Mr. Scott Lovett is a director of the bank, carries a large commercial and energy loan portfolio and develops new business for the bank. Prior to joining WNB in early 1997 as executive vice president, Mr. Lovett was associated with Norwest Bank and its predecessor institution, Texas National Bank, from 1990, serving as executive vice president in charge of lending.  During this period, Mr. Lovett participated in the formation of both Texas National Bank’s mezzanine lending program and Norwest Energy Capital.  From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Lovett was executive vice president of United Bank, N.A. in Midland and was instrumental in the sale of the bank to Texas Commerce Bank in1990.  Prior to this, Mr. Lovett was a senior vice president and commercial lending officer with Republic Bank in Dallas, beginning his career in banking in 1974.  From 1971 to 1974, Mr. Lovett was employed in the service of the Nixon Administration in Washington in the Price Commission. Mr. Lovett holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Southern Methodist University in Finance.  Mr. Lovett brings over thirty years of banking experience to the company, primarily vested in financing energy and commercial enterprises.  He has been involved in all facets of lending to the energy industry, including reserve-based, midstream and service.
